Driving towards my destination south of Bishop California I realized I was about to run my first marathon in the desert at altitude, and it would be about

twice as far as I had ever run before!!

Well, why put it off any longer?!

This race had some of the coolest scenery and rock formations I have ever run through!

Starting out slow, I had some energy to burn!

Top three were awarded with local pottery! (Managed 2nd woman/ 6th overall!)
